Hello fellow musicians, listeners, and peace-makers,
This is one in a series of regular piano improvisations that I create based on the music of various musical cultures from around the world. You’ll notice that right now, I’m centering on the music of Africa, particularly West Africa, so on many of these, I will be starting by showing you the rhythm pattern being used on the traditional djembe drum. All of my improvisations are off-the-cuff, not pre-written or planned. I hope these give you some ideas and inspiration for creating your own music based on the musical traditions from around the world.

Musical blessings and peace to you!
– Judy
