The Break is a first of its kind docu-series on Rap Caviar, co-created by Spotify x Sprite. The series explores today’s hip-hop economy and how technological and social change is impacting how artists, producers, and managers are breaking through and changing the culture of hip-hop.
The series features some of the most innovative, dynamic and often unknown, young talent that are breaking conventions and moving Hip-Hop culture forward – From one of the hottest female rappers Tierra Whack, who innovated with her social media-inspired 15 minute long album, to a producer Nick Mira, that started selling beats in his bedroom and is now producing some of the biggest hits, to a collective of creators LVRN, applying their own D.I.Y. approach to record labels. These individuals remained true to themselves and are not just “making it” in the music industry, they are making what the music industry is today.
