After serious health issues and not so big single features here and there

fans on the gram began to discuss the rap legend might be making her comeback in 2019

And since last night we all know

Missy is now “healthy, happy and officially back”!

The female rap legend just dropped her EP ICONOLOGY at midnight

This is Missy’s first batch of songs after 2005!

According PAPER magazine, the rapper felt it was time to release music

Which is a “musical tribute to a time “ when music felt good and made us want to dance.””

As Missy Elliot will be honored with the MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award next Monday,

it just feels like the right time for a major comeback!
