We are all deeply affected when someone we love dies. Grief is a normal response to loss but you may find talking to someone independent can help support you through your experience.
Helen lost her husband to cancer and was struggling with her grief. She turned to KEMP Hospice for help as they offer free-of-charge bereavement support and counselling to anyone in the Wyre Forest district.
Helen came to KEMP to receieve counselling, and now she wants to share her story with you; how her husband Steve’s death affected her, her experiences and how her counsellor, Vicki helped ‘walk alongside her’.
Listen to Helen’s story below…it not only explains some of the effects of bereavement but also shines a light on what grief counselling entails.
