Create or Die Live Saturday Sessions: Esmè, Ms Thandi, Flywaves
Get ready for this Sexy Night In!
Esmè, Ms Thandi & Flywaves (DJ) + more to be announced!
Create or Die Live Sessions brings the party to you, every Saturday night – “Live” from our new COVID-19 compliant digital broadcasting studio, this week music curator Chloe de Brito is serving up another delicious all Wom*n lineup.
‘I used to feel so insecure about not being specific and now I really embrace my genre-dodging sound’ -Esmé
Ms. Thandi creates music with a message. Born and raised in Sydney, Ms. Thandi was exposed to music at an early age, sighting influences such as Erykah Badu & Amy Winehouse. Ms. Thandi’s groove & emotions can be heard through her thought-provoking lyrics and eccentric instrumentation.
Previously apart of Sydney band ‘Motherfunk’, Ms. Thandi was introduced to live performance which saw her tour in-front of sold-out venues including The Vanguard, Lazy Bones & Transit Bar. Eventually leaving the band in 2019, Thandi began working on her solo career.
Her solo work has been described as smooth, nostalgic and sensual. Ms. Thandi isn’t afraid to express how she feels within her music and in turn gives us an intimate and introspective look into her world through her soul-warming sounds, whether that be through rap, singing, or anything in between.
With lyrics as silky and sincere as her influences, Ms. Thandi is delivering a refreshing voice and style within the R&B and Neo-Soul scene.” Triple J Uneathered
