As a mental health advocate, my favorite day of the year is Bell Let’s Talk Day, sponsored by Bell Let’s Talk, a Canadian mental wellness organization. For every social media interaction tagging or promoting mental health advocacy, a certain monetary donation is pledged towards the Canadian organization. At the end of the day, due to the immeasurable amount of recorded interactions, thousands of dollars are contributed to providing more mental health initiatives through the organization. Most powerful, however, is seeing the immense impact of a global community deliver testimonies and offer a safe space for vulnerability. We need to cultivate an environment in which we do that consistently, not just an annual day each year. This video is dedicated to raising awareness about mental wellness and inviting you to contribute to the conversation. Be the change.
