T’S A FAMILY AFFAIR
Magical day in leafy Buckinghamshire for this amazing funky little festival! ALL MY PEOPLE was indeed a family affair under azure skies as we felt the love for the musical vibes and lots of self expression on display.
Humble musicians and Mi – Soul Radio DJ’s loving life and exhibiting amazing artistry From the brilliant young musicians on the acoustic stage playing Stevie Wonder to the Iconic Soul II Soul headlining. From the leftfield music wonder of Minnie Dipple on the main stage to Stretch Taylor rocking the Mi-Soul arena with his unique blend of R and B, rap and hip hop. But any festival is about the music lovers who attend. The numerous families having fun in the sun and introducing the next generation of soul boys and soul girls to this wonderful music.
Loved seeing JJ Frost playing reggae, Brandon Block playing anthems, Gordon Mac rocking the decks and Terry Jones fusing modern soul with soulful house. Amazing live music from Brian Power’s Soul House who were truly epic. Special mention to Laville from Acid Jazz – a superstar in the making with shades of 60’s/70’s soul and the magical Vanessa Freeman.
Lovely to just wander and catch snippets of life as everyone relaxed and caught the magic of the day. Some spiritual awakening in the happy days tent, stunning face make up and paint massively on display. There was the coolest pop up cocktail bar — in a camper van! Sumptuous cuisine too with Greek, Mexican, Jamaican and may other food stalls.
As the day progressed the party vibe stepped up and the dancing took over. Some crazy scenes of joy and love all around me.
