INTRODUCTION TO THE WEEK BY MICHEL SALOFF COSTE

11 JUILLET 2011

Introduction of the week

Michel Saloff Coste, Club of Budapest France, Integral University.

Welcome

Why this week ?

Urgency of the planetary context

Need to build a strong network of international researchers

Need to finance those researchers by like-minded company, university, ONG and government network

Need to have exchanges with civil society and increase awareness, democratic process and positive decision-making

Need for innovative solutions, actions, enterprises……

Need to experience “glocal” (global/local) processes

Why “an integral open innovation ecosystem”

Integral because we need a new way of thinking: more systemic, holistic, interdisciplinary, pluralist…..

Open because the processes of research and action have to be public, interactive and open to the diversity of the world

Innovation because we need new solutions

Ecosystem because we need to reinforce the natural and cultural biodiversity

Lets have an overview of the program and milestones of the week
